Our operating theatre is well equiipped & we use the safest human-equivalent grade anaesthetics for the safety of your pet. We are able to perform surgical procedures from  stitch-ups, routine neutering  through to more complex exploratory surgery for all small animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rats & occasional chickens.

We have modern x-ray and processing facilities on site. X-ray can be used to detect broken bones, lameness problems such as hip dysplasia, chest abnormalities and abdominal problems. Chas the Labrador was found to have swallowed several golf balls which had to be removed from his stomach!

We have our own in house laboratory with equipment including a blood analysis machine. We are able to get the results the same day.

We also use the excellent services of an outside laboratory for more complex tests. We have a daily courier and reporting is usually done within 24hrs.

Hospitalisation Kennels

We have kennels and cages in various sizes to suit the smallest hamster up to a Great Dane, should your pet need to have a stay in hospital. We understand how precious your pets are to you, and will make their stay in hospital as comfortable as possible. We use comfortable Vet-beds which help to keep the animals warm and dry, and you are welcome to bring in their favourite blanket etc. if you feel it will make your pet feel more at home.
